Tax All the Rubes in the Wildwood
Some may be familiar with the hymn titled "Little Brown Church in the Vale." It's one of the old-time, pleasant sounding hymns that, ironically in light of the lyrics, I recall from my childhood. And it has inspired doggerel:
Tax, tax, tax, tax,
Tax all the rubes in the wildwood,
Tax all the rubes in the vale.
No sport is as dear to a Congresshood
As taxing all the rubes in the vale.
